Signature Workflows is a course series live at Dentcof. Every edition is taught by two clinicians, so each one gives you two things: the workflow, a granular clinical protocol performed live and ready to implement; and the nuance, how each clinician applies it and the clinical judgement behind it.

This edition, with Dr. Florin Cofar and Dr. Juan Arias, is a two-day interdisciplinary perio-prosthetic course on gingival recessions and soft tissue defects around natural teeth and implants. The central idea is to optimise the surgical result before surgery begins, through interdisciplinary planning, technology and a shared restorative vision.
Two perspectives
Juan Arias brings the surgical expertise, techniques and clinical judgement to manage complex soft tissue defects and achieve predictable periodontal and peri-implant results. Florin Cofar brings interdisciplinarity, technology and preparation: digital tools and restorative planning that define the objective and optimise the conditions for surgery. Florin prepares and designs, Juan executes, and both keep returning to the design.
Two days
Day 1, Root Coverage: designing the ideal defect. Managing a recession is not simply covering an exposed root: it starts by defining the ideal outcome and choosing surgical, prosthetic or combined treatment. Day 2, Soft Tissue Reconstruction: a second clinical case with deficiencies around teeth or implants that need surgical reconstruction and interdisciplinary management.
Key idea
Don't just cover the defect: design the ideal conditions for treating it. Technology and planning set the objectives, surgical expertise delivers the intervention, and both disciplines keep reconciling their decisions around the design.
What you take home
Two practical workflows for recession management and soft tissue reconstruction: diagnostic criteria, treatment decisions, digital preparation, surgical techniques, materials and restorative integration.
Both days include live clinical cases and surgeries, selected according to patient availability and clinical indications.
