Treatment planning

Start with the end result
A treatment plan answers four questions: what your teeth should look like at the end, what needs to happen to get there, in which order, and who does each step. At Dentcof the dentists involved in your case and our dental technicians answer them together, before treatment starts. They design the end result first, and every later step, from gum treatment and orthodontics to implants and the final teeth, is made from that one design. We call this integrated planning.

The lab is at the centre of the plan
Our technicians design the teeth you will have at the end, so they plan with your dentist from the first day. The lab, in the clinic, turns that design into everything you need along the way: the preview and mock-up, the surgical and preparation guides, the temporaries and the final teeth. Digital tools give the work its precision; the details that make a tooth look alive, its surface texture and the way light passes through it, are finished by hand. Because it is all made here from one design, the work stays close to the plan, adjustments happen the same day, and temporaries can often be ready during the same visit. Your design is then saved, so a tooth can be remade to match years from now. More about our lab
Sized to your problem
The plan is as big as the problem. If one tooth needs treatment, the plan is that tooth, checked against the rest of your mouth.
One sequence
Each discipline works toward the same result, so no step undoes the one before. That is why we ask you to keep the order the plan sets.
Fewer, longer appointments
Steps from different disciplines can often share a session. You come in less often, and healing happens once where possible.
Honest ways to lower the cost
A different material, treatment in phases or paying in installments can lower the cost. Steps your health depends on stay in the plan.

Treatment planning: frequently asked questions
Do I need a plan for a single tooth?+
Yes, a short one. We check that the tooth fits your bite and your gums, then treat only that tooth.
What does planning cost?+
The consultation costs €50 and the complete diagnosis €150. When the treatment changes how your smile looks, a 3D smile design is added (€150).
How long does it take to get my plan?+
Planning often starts during your diagnosis visit. Larger cases usually take a few days, then we meet to go through the plan with you.
Will the result look exactly like the preview?+
It comes close, with small differences, because teeth are made by hand and gums heal in their own way. The guides and temporaries made from the design keep those differences small.
Do I have to do the whole plan at once?+
No. Many plans are done in phases. We agree the order with you, keeping the steps your health depends on first.
