Signature Workflows is a course series live at Dentcof. Every edition is taught by two clinicians, so each one gives you two things: the workflow, a granular clinical protocol performed live and ready to implement; and the nuance, how each clinician applies it and the clinical judgement behind it.

This edition, with Dr. Florin Cofar and Dr. Eric Van Dooren, is a two-day perio-prosthetic course on implant longevity and the treatment of long-term complications. It is built around two live surgical cases on implants that have been in function for 10, 15 or more than 20 years, from diagnosis and planning to surgery, prosthetic management and maintenance.

Two perspectives

Eric Van Dooren brings decades of clinical experience and a deep understanding of how implant treatments age, why complications develop and how to manage them over time. Florin Cofar comes from the other end: innovation, technology and how to apply these tools meaningfully to clinical problems.

Two days

Day 1, Implant Longevity: long-term maintenance, preserving what works and correcting what does not. Day 2, Complication Management: treating compromised implants, with surgical and prosthetic strategies for long-term stability.

Key idea

Longevity by design: decades of clinical experience meet applied technology to understand, treat and prevent the complications that appear over time.

What you take home

Two practical workflows for diagnosing and treating long-term implant complications: decision criteria, surgical and prosthetic protocols, digital tools, materials and maintenance strategies.

The two live cases are selected according to suitable patients, ideally showing different complications on implants with 10–20+ years of function.
