Straighter teeth, with clear aligners
Clear aligners are removable, nearly invisible trays that move your teeth step by step. They can play three roles. When your teeth are natural and healthy and only need aligning, they can be the whole treatment. When the tooth movements suit them, they can be the orthodontic treatment within a larger plan. And they can finish a treatment started with braces. In this case, aligners moved the teeth to where the new implants and restorations needed them. At Dentcof in Timișoara (Iulius Town), clear aligners cost €1,800 – €3,000 per arch, digital planning included.

Where we started

Designed from the final smile
We design the end result first: teeth, gums and restorations. The aligners are planned to bring each tooth to where that design needs it, so the restorations can be thinner and fewer. You see a simulation of the result before you start.

Aligners move the teeth
You change to a new aligner every 1–2 weeks and wear them about 22 hours a day, taking them out to eat, drink and brush. Small tooth-coloured bumps (attachments) help them grip. Expect some pressure for a few days with each new aligner.

The rest of the plan follows
Once the teeth are in position, implants are placed through guides made from the same design, then the veneers and crowns are made in our lab.

Aligners: frequently asked questions
What are aligners and how do they work?+
Clear, removable trays that apply gentle pressure to move teeth into the planned position. You switch to a new set every 1–2 weeks until the result is reached.
Are aligners suitable for every case?+
No. Most mild to moderate cases can be treated with aligners. Some complex skeletal problems need braces or surgery, and some cases combine aligners with braces. We assess yours at diagnosis.
How many hours a day do I wear them?+
About 22. Take them out only to eat, drink and clean your teeth. If you can't wear them most of the day, fixed braces may suit you more.
Do aligners hurt?+
Usually only mildly. Most people feel pressure for the first few days of each new aligner, as the teeth move. Overall, treatment is well tolerated.
How long does aligner treatment take?+
Usually between 6 months and 1.5 years, depending on your case. You get a more accurate timeline after your diagnosis.
